When you visit Lone Pine, develop your film or proof your negatives before you head home. My darkroom is available for rent by the hour in Lone Pine, CA. $15 per hour, or 10 hours for $95. Spacious studio with exhaust, aircon, and heat. Equipment includes a Beseler 45MX enlarger with cold and condenser heads. Mail your own materials ahead of your visit, or use my chemicals and paper for a small additional fee. Contact me for details. Good coffee included!

Map Location Guide Sample

I spent the weekend working on my map locations guide for the Alabama Hills.  I started the project using Illustrator, but switched over to Ortelius, a cartography software.  Ortelius has proven to be a great tool for designing my maps because some of the routes in the Hills are complex.   I’m using maps from Open Street Map and am adding routes and icons using the cartography program.  It’s a fun project, and hopefully it will help other photographers find great places to photograph in this beautiful area.

Here’s a sample section – this one was simple to design.
