Pics: 2011 Phil Davis Memorial Photo Retreat – Dec 6-13, Death Valley, CA

I led a group of large format photographers in Death Valley last week and had a great time.  What a great group of photographers!  Wish we could have stayed longer than seven days.  We photographed at Rhyolite, Zabriskie, Twenty Mule Team Canyon, Golden Canyon, Badwater, and Ubehebe Crater.  The tripod platform performed very well and the extra height came in handy at Rhyolite where everything has been recently fenced.  Here are a few pics taken during the retreat:

Tripod Platform

The tripod platform I’m having made for the Landcruiser is nearing completion.  I wish I had more time to test drive it before the photo retreat in Death Valley but I’ll have to work out the kinks, if there are any, later.
