Twenty Mule Team Road

The high today was 43F and it was only 10° warmer in Death Valley. I was there yesterday and went to the park thinking it would be much warmer than it was when I pulled into Twenty Mule Team Canyon. Luckily I had all of those jackets from last spring that somehow got tossed over my shoulder into the back of my truck, so I layered, hiked up a ridge, and stuck my head under my focusing cloth to keep my ears warm in that really chilly wind.
A work print made near the north end of Twenty Mule Team Road. It was late morning and the SBR was 5. I pointed the incident meter directly at the sun for a single reading, and gave expanded development. Getting there…
