This coming week I’m taking a holiday break and am heading out to Death Valley. I’m creating a new body of work on this trip for gravure printing. I’m really looking forward to visiting my favorite National Park again. Last week I submitted a portfolio of 11 images for review at Soho Photo Gallery in Tribeca. I’m happy to report I was invited for membership at Soho Photo and I look forward to being a part of the gallery.
In other news, I’ve been experimenting with mixing etching ink colors and came up with an interesting combination that reminds me of a silver print. The colors mixed for this image were cerulean blue and sepia. In person the print shifts color, from silver to silver-green, as you view the image from different angles. ..
3 parts sepia, 2 parts cerulean blue, and 1 part easy wipe…
