My mother called today with news of my award letter from the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts. I won a finalist and legacy award in the amateur division of the movement through time category for my piece, “wheel” death valley. The piece was recently exhibited at the L.A. County Fair. I’m really happy the judges selected a pinhole photograph for an award. I’m hoping to print gravure later this evening at the press with the new Kozo paper. I bought a few new inks, such as sepia and gold, and can’t wait to see the effects of those on the kozo paper…
