Truck and Wire, near Blanca, Colorado

August 29th, 2008 by laura | No Comments | Filed in Laura Campbell Fine Art

”Truck and Wire” was made on Highway 150 a few miles south of the Great Sand Dunes.  I used a yellow filter on a Zero45 set at f216/75mm.  We’ve decided to rent a place in the San Luis Valley where we’ll stay for the winter.  The photographic material here is abundant and the dunes are just down the road from where we are staying.  Good thing we bought the NP pass this year…

E. Church Street, San Luis, Colorado

Greetings from Las Vegas, New Mexico.  I’ve seen some beautiful country this last week in the Chama Valley in New Mexico and lower San Luis Valley in Colorado.  We’ve made a couple of ever-widening loops along the New Mexico-Colorado border and while we’ve seen lovely scenery we still haven’t found the place where we want to hang our hats.  So the search for a new home base continues.  Tomorrow we’re heading for the mountains west of Colorado Springs…

This old general store is located on a side street off the main highway that runs through San Luis, Colorado, about an hour north of Taos. Made with a Zero45 and a yellow filter set at 75mm. Exposure not recorded.
