Sundown No. 1, San Luis Valley, Colorado

August 30th, 2008 by laura | Filed under Laura Campbell Fine Art.

Our new place is about 2 miles south of the sand dunes in the foothills of the Sangres facing Mt. Blanca.  This is black bear country.  There are pinon trees, deer antlers litter the woods, and the coyotes yip at dusk.  This sounds like a pack of about a dozen within a couple hundred feet of the house.  The truck below was hand held at sunset in a field near our place.  The exposure was a few seconds at f216 using Fuji FP100C.

You are like a modern day Georgia O’Keeffe- paint your cyanotype masterpiece with a pinhole as your brush! :) Best wishes in your new location!
