Farewell Arizona…
I probably won’t be posting much for the next three weeks as my house sold and I must pack and sort through my things. I have lots of varied and interesting things that I’ve held on to for years and I’m determined to leave many of those things here. I donated a bunch of books to our local library today which was an excellent start. However, I’m still finding it difficult to part with certain belongings even though they have no practical value or purpose. Those belongings in particular strive for uselessness and therein lies their intrinsic value. My plan is to drive to New Mexico, head up the highway to Taos and continue on to Southern Colorado. I hope to find a rental there where I can set up my darkroom for a while. I’m not sure I’ll stay through the winter as I’m not particularly fond of sub zero temperatures. I pass the keys over on August 15th and will post shortly thereafter from the pinhole highway…
