Joshua Tree on Cyanotype

July 9th, 2008 by laura | Filed under Laura Campbell Fine Art.

Today I finally made a print that I like of the joshua tree.  This image was important to me because the joshua tree is my favorite tree.  This was made on cotton sateen fabric and was given a 3 minute exposure in the UV light box.  The print was developed in vinegar, bleached in ammonia, and toned in tea.

Joshua Tree, Darwin Road, Calif. Pinhole-cyanotype on cotton sateen fabric, developed in vinegar, bleached in ammonia, toned in tea. 4″x5″.

wow, I think you nailed this one perfect. I’d love to see the print. Looks like the range of tones is just right for my taste- nice blacks and crips highlights!

  2. We love the joshua tree print, your process sounds amazing.
