Darwin street corner on cyanotype toned in gold

July 5th, 2008 by laura | Filed under Laura Campbell Fine Art.

Today I made a fresh batch of chemicals and fine tuned sensitizing large fabric panels.  When everything was ready to go, I cut a print sheet off of one of my panel strips and printed an image made in darwin, calif.  “street corner” was exposed for 3 minutes in the uv box followed by development in vinegar.  I bleached the image in ammonia and toned in gold-borax.  The print color is green-gold.

Street Corner, Darwin Calif.  Pinhole photo, cyanotype print developed in vinegar, bleached in ammonia, and toned in gold-borax.  3 minute exposure, 4″x5″ print. lauracampbell_streetcorner.jpg
