I worked on “wheel” again today and experimented with toning formulas. I used borax in one bath to bleach the image and selected gold, tannic, or tea for the second bath to tone the print. The gold-borax is my favorite toner especially when there is a bath of tea on hand. I was pleased that tea worked so effectively in providing warm tones. I may decide to replace the tannic acid with tea since the tea works just as well and it smells better.
