Roy's in Blue with a Pinch of Tannic Acid

Here we are with Roy’s toned in tannic acid. The print was washed in running water and was set aside to dry. It was then immersed in a 1 percent solution of hydrochloric acid followed by a quick bath in tannic acid. This changed the Prussian blue to charcoal, gray, and rose.

Pinhole/Roy’s Cafe, Amboy, Calif. Cyanotype using the New Cyanotype formula. 5 minute exposure/water development.  Treated in hydrochloric acid and tannic acid.

A Study of Roy's Cafe in Prussian Blue

Here we are with Roy’s Cafe in blue. I worked out a couple of kinks yesterday enabling me to arrive at a decent test print today. I applied a curve to the digital negative and used no color fill. Exposure was 5 minutes and the print was developed in plain running water.
