Here we are with a zone plate photo of Bodie, my sweet 6-year-old. In this photo, he’s catching up on his beauty rest. He’s only pretending to be awake. Yesterday he got a bath and today he sat down in blue paint. I upgraded to a new scanner in preparation for making more digital negatives for handcoating. It just arrived today and initial testing shows much better results than my old scanner. I’m waiting on a new batch of chemicals for handcoating cyanotypes. I’m starting with Dr. Mike Ware’s New Cyanotype process, using Dektol to bleach, and tannic acid to tone the print. I’m looking forward to experimenting with this process in the coming days.
