Zone Plate Photo: Bodie the Dog
Here we are with a zone plate photo of Bodie, my sweet 6-year-old. In this photo, he’s catching up on his beauty rest. He’s only pretending to be awake. Yesterday he got a bath and today he sat down in blue paint. I upgraded to a new scanner in preparation for [...]
Test Print Day 4: Pinhole-Palladium
Today’s testing was not as much of a disaster as the testing I did yesterday. I worked out a few problems I was having with the digital negative and with handcoating. Pinhole Photo: Middle Basin and Eroded Hills, Death Valley
Last night was a busy night at camp. Unable to sleep in the hot, dry wind at Furnace Creek, we decided to repack both vehicles by moving all of the camera, kitchen, and darkroom gear over to the Landcruiser. It’s a good thing we did because the truck is no longer with us. [...]
Pinhole Photo: Vintage Cars, Death Valley
Greetings from Death Valley National Park. A cold front descended into the Owens Valley a few day ago bringing high winds and cooler temperatures. We braved it out for three days, broke camp, and headed for warmer weather. This week marks 60 days on the road, and 50-something days camping in Eastern California. [...]
